The # 2 Cause of Death in High School Athletes is Heat Exhaustion

Reprint from www.SoccerMyLife.com

As a certified personal Trainer and 2X Hawaii Ironman, I know and respect Mr. Hydration coupled with the FACT that The # 1 Injury in Athletes is cramping. Hydration or how to Hydrate is probably one of the top questions I get.

"Which drink should I drink?"

I just recently got back from working a Schumann’s Football Combine in California where it was 118 degrees on the field and the kids were dropping like flies due to cramping.  I also recently attended a Youth soccer camp.  After watching those little Champions run around with no stop in their vocabulary.  I decided people needed to know the facts about hydration. You see the little ones will go and go, they don’t know stop, but even when we know better by the time we stop it is all ready to late. We have a saying in the world of  Endurance sports like The Ironman "By the time you realize you need a drink or food its all ready to late."

So I decided to do a review on 2 of the more popular Hydration drinks. This is a comparison on a couple of popular hydration drinks so you can make an educated choice when deciding what you are going to Hydrate your Young Champions with or yourself with for that matter.

What is the difference between Gatorade and Advocare Rehydrate? This is a question that needs to be answered with clinical and scientific facts. You can’t just guess according to a bias point of view. We must be factual in answering this to let the readers and users know the scientific differences. I personally used to drink Gatorade and I thought that it was the best  hydrating drink ever. But I began using Advocare Rehydrate and immediately felt a big difference, but as I said relying simply on how I feel is not enough and I wanted to know the facts and the truth between the two famous drinks. So here are the facts I found in The Comparison of Gatorade to Advocare Rehydrate.

Calorie content:
When it comes to calories, we often think that calories are bad for us but in truth our body needs calories for energy. Calories are bad when we are taking in too many calories and not burning enough of them off through activity. That’s when calories can be bad and lead to weight gain.
Both AdvoCare Rehydrate and Gatorade  have a calorie count of 50.

Carbohydrate content:
Carbohydrates supply the body with energy. A diet containing an optimal level of carbohydrates may help prevent body fat accumulation and its dietary fiber helps keep the bowel functioning correctly.
Rehydrate contains only 12 grams, while Gatorade has 14 grams.

Sugar:
Sugar contains saccharides. Saccharides have been shown to relieve chronic illnesses and diseases such as kidney disease, lupus, arthritis and several others. They also help to boost our immune system and shrink tumors/cancers.
Rehydrate contains only 12 grams, while Gatorade has 14 grams.
***Note Rehydrate uses a natural fruit sugar

Sodium:
The health benefits of sodium play an essential role in enzyme operation and muscle contraction. It is essential for osmoregulation and fluid maintenance of the human body. Other health benefits of sodium also include heart performance, nervous system and glucose absorption.
Rehydrate has only 100 grams while Gatorade contains 200 grams.

Potassium:
The health benefits of potassium include blood pressure, stroke, anxiety and stress, muscular strength, metabolism, heart and kidney disorders, water balance, electrolytic functions, nervous system.
Rehydrate has only 100 grams while Gatorade contains 200 grams.
***Note Rehydrate has a 1:1 ratio of Sodium to Potassium, the perfect synergy/combination that the body needs

Magnesium:
Magnesium also is vital for maintaining a healthy heart. Magnesium helps alleviate the rhythm of the heart and helps prevent abnormal blood clotting in the heart and also plays a key role in the strength and formation of bones and teeth.
Rehydrate contains 40 grams, while Gatorade has only 3 grams.

Calcium:
Calcium plays a major role in tooth and bone health. However, most people don’t know that calcium is also important to blood clotting, hearth rhythm, nerve transmission, muscle function, and cell membrane function.
Rehydrate contains 40 grams, while Gatorade has only 3 grams.

The following are essential nutrients contained in AdvoCare Rehydrate but not included in the Gatorade formulation.

Advocare Rehydrate has Chromium (4.8 mcg). It helps in regulating the metabolism of our blood sugar and thus helps deter diabetes, include controlling fat and cholesterol levels in the blood. Therefore it helps to prevent hypertension or high blood pressure.

Advocare Rehydrate has Beta-carotene (1000 u) that helps prevent night blindness and other eye problems, enhance immunity, skin disorders, protects against toxins and cancer formations, colds, flu, and infections. Recent reports also show natural Beta-Carotene aids in cancer prevention.

Advocare Rehydrate has Ascorbic Acid (120 mg). Ascorbic acid may help in the prevention of early death from heart disease and cancer. In addition to its antioxidant benefits, ascorbic acid plays a primary role in collagen formation which is essential for the growth and repair of tissue cells, blood vessels, gums, bones, and teeth.

Advocare Rehydrate also has Vitamin B content:

•    Thiamine Hydrochloride (B1) 150 mcg. It converts carbohydrates into energy.
•    Riboflavin (B2) 170 mcg. It is necessary for growth, normal cell function, and energy production.
•    Niacinamide (B3) 2mg. It has therapeutic benefits for joint pain.
•    Pyridoxine (B6) 2 mg. with just under 2 mg a day of vitamin B6, your body is able to make more than 60 different enzymes that help your immune system in top condition, keep your red blood cells red, and help the rest of your body functioning well.
•    Calcium Pantothenate (B5) 600 mcg. It is essential to the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, as well as for the synthesis of hormones and cholesterol.

Advocare Rehydrate also has L-glutamine (300 mcg) that support of cellular growth, energy, and repair. And L-arginine (133 mg) that enhance the function of the immune system, helping to detoxify the liver, and helping with fertility in men.

These many healthy vitamins and nutrients can only be found in Advocare Rehydrate and they are not present in Gatorade drinks.

With this factual analysis, you can be confident when drinking Advocare Rehydrate that you are hydrating your body correctly. It offers a whole and complete blue print of nutrients and minerals that are significantly needed by our active body. Well those are some of the FACTS I found out about the 2 Popular Hydration drinks.

At the end of the day the Choice is yours. At least now you have the FACTS.

Finally, Rehydrate will lower your body core 2 degrees in under 30 minutes. Which could be life saving.

COST: Rehydrate is less than 1/2 the price of Gatorade

FYI: You would have to drink 18 x 8 ounce Gatorade’s to equal 1  x  8 ounce Rehydrate

Oh Yeah, you might find this interesting more and more facilities with brand new turf fields are not allowing Gatorade on the field because it will stain the field.  What was the name of that song "Things that make you go  Hm mm."

Being a 2 X Hawaii Ironman Finisher I sure wish I had Advocare Rehydrate in my Arsenal. I wouldn’t of had to be sticking Ice down my shirt to lower my body core.   Hope This Helps.

AdvoCare Rehydrate Over Gatorade

Sustain Optimal Hydration

Rehydrate Electrolyte Replacement Drink
KEY BENEFITS:
  • Helps the body stay hydrated during physical activity
  • Provides a full spectrum of crucial electrolytes for improved electrolyte balance
  • Includes amino acids to help feed your muscles
  • Fuels your body with carbohydrates for energy production and sustained muscle endurance
  • Contains antioxidants to fight free radicals commonly produced during exercise
  • Helps prevent cramping during and after exercise
IS THIS YOU?
  • Someone who wants to sustain hydration and energy during physical activity
  • Someone who wants a superior sports drink
  • Someone who wants to enhance your exercise regimen
  • Someone who wants a healthy drink for everyday use
THE ISSUE:
Water is the basis for all body fluids and is involved in numerous vital metabolic processes. When we lose fluid, we also lose minerals such as calcium, potassium and sodium, which are electrolytes that help regulate the body’s fluid balance and metabolic processes. Just a two-to-five percent decrease in body fluid can reduce blood volume, decreasing oxygen delivery to muscles and organs when you need it most. Prolonged exercise, outdoor activities at elevated temperature or humidity, and occasional gastric imbalances are associated with loss of body fluid and dehydration. Decreased carbohydrate availability may also occur, resulting in low muscle glycogen levels.
One hour of moderate-intensity exercise at a temperature of 70o Fahrenheit results in an average loss of 27 ounces of sweat. Even low-intensity exercise or activity can cause significant fluid loss. At this point, performance declines due to increased reaction time, and decreased concentration and judgment. Of even more concern is the fact that the individual may be completely unaware of these occurrences until it’s too late.
THE SOLUTION:
Rehydrate Electrolyte Replacement Drink provides the necessary nutrients to maintain proper metabolism and delay the onset of fatigue. It hydrates your body by re-establishing your electrolyte balance with its superior formulation. Rehydrate Drink has a low glycemic index that produces a more gradual insulin response and is isotonic, thus providing rapid gastric emptying and rapid rehydration. Furthermore, this drink helps support the body’s energy cycle and provides carbohydrate fuel necessary for energy production.
Unlike other sports drinks, Rehydrate Electrolyte Replacement Drink includes antioxidants, carbohydrates, electrolytes and other nutrients that effectively promote optimal hydration and recovery. Rehydrate Drink has a 1:1 ratio of sodium and potassium, two of the most vital electrolytes that are lost when we sweat. Rehydrate Drink helps prevent cramping by providing calcium, magnesium and L-glutamine to support the contraction and relaxation phases of the muscles.
This amazing sports drink also helps sustain carbohydrate energy by including chromium in its unique formulation, strengthening endurance at any activity level. Furthermore, the antioxidants in Rehydrate Drink help fight the effects of free radicals, and the amino acids support blood flow throughout the cardiovascular system. Rehydrate Electrolyte Replacement Drink provides a complete spectrum of ingredients for hydration that far exceeds other leading sports drinks, making it a superior choice for the serious or casual athlete.
Directions For Use:
For ages 4 and older.
To prepare, shake or stir contents of one pouch or scoop into 8 fluid ounces of water.
Drink liberally before, during and after physical activity.
Key Ingredients:
L-arginine, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chromium, L-glutamine, thiamine (B-1)

The Call

The call we had the other day when 11 people shared their 2 minute story...is now being called "The Call". The most powerful call I have ever heard in my 6 years in Advocare...you need to be using this call as part of the process of bringing a prospect along....

Quick Story

  • I met Lisa on a business networking site called Linked.com
  • We became friends and built a relationship...I eventually shared Advocare
  • Lisa was INTERESTED, so I sent to her www.PreviewAdvocare.com
  • I had Dawn call her because they both live in Kansas
  • I followed up and put her on a 3 way call with Karen...
  • Lisa signed up and became a distributor...when her product came in I put her on a 3 way with Mike
  • I followed up...put her on a 3 way call with Shanna (both are CPT's)
  • I then shared the compensation plan and painted some vision...
  • Lisa went on vacation...
  • Monday we connected and she said she would call me Tuesday...
  • Tuesday when we talked, Lisa was about 70% going to Advisor....I put Lisa on THE CALL...here is what she e-mail me at midnight last night...
Hi Bob,
It was a rough day, I will explain later. Anyway, I have listened to the recording and I too would like to become a success story. Look at the attachment that I want to send out to a huge list of friends. Let me know what you think. I think I want to purchase 14 of the "24 Day Challenge" packages. I believe it is 14 that I need to meet the $2100 retail to become an Advisor. Along with my clients, I want to get on the program and see the extreme results so that I have a strong story to tell. I have been in a rut and need to climb out in a big way. I appreciate you being patient with me. I was trying to figure out how this would all work and it is scary to make an investment when I am currently not doing well financially. Anyway, thanks for your support!

Today Lisa went full Advisor....that is the power of 3rd party credibility...that is the power of THE CALL

Multiple Streams of Income

Has your household income gone up since last year?  Do you feel like your current job is giving you the opportunity to increase your income over the next 3 months, 6 months, year or longer?

How many sources of income do you have coming in to your household?

If you are like most of us, we never really thought about having to find other sources of income because our income usually increased each year.  One or even two sources of income (one or both spouses working) was always enough to pay the bills and have a little left over to save and to even spend on computers, vacations or anything else.  Then things changed.

Today we have come to realize that there are events that we can't control that can and will control our lifestyles, whether we like it or not.

After speaking with many people that are currently looking for work or concerned that they may lose their jobs, no one seems to have an idea of what to do next.  They have been in the same line of work for so long that they don't know anything else that can bring in an equivalent amount of income or in some cases, anything at all.  The word "scared" doesn't even describe how they feel.

The question now is...what are you going to do about it?

The first thing we all have to do is start a Plan B.  What is Plan B?  Your current income stream is Plan A.  Plan B is your next income stream.  Do you have a Plan B?  The answer for most families is No.

So how do we start a Plan B?  My suggestion is to find something that you enjoy doing and find a way to turn that into an income stream.  For some of you, it's a pretty easy transition.  For others, you have no clue what to do but if the opportunity presented itself to you, you would just know it.  That's what happened to our family.

Our family is pretty active.  We all play tennis several times per week and our daughter plays competitive tennis, training 4 days per week, up to 4 hours per day, then she plays in high level tennis tournaments several weekends per month.  The tournaments are structured with each player playing at least 2 matches per day (matches can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours each) with sometimes only 1 to 2 hours of rest between matches.  If she is playing well and winning, she will play anywhere up to 6 matches over three days.  And depending on the tournament, there may be doubles matches that are in addition to the singles matches, so in some tournaments, she can play as many as four matches per day for two or three days straight.

Regardless of how much you train and endurance you have, you still need help.  Your body burns a lot of energy and living in Florida, the matches are played in temperatures up to 95 degrees.  Cramping and fatigue are common problems that every player has to deal with.

We were introduced to a product called AdvoCare Spark by some friends that were involved in high level, competitive baseball.

Our daughter started using the product and immediately felt a higher level of energy on the court.  So much now that she won't get on the court without drinking a bottle of Spark before playing or training.  Now in addition to using Spark, she is also drinking AdvoCare Rehydrate instead of Gatorade for her electrolyte replacement to help with fatigue and cramping.  What we really like about Spark is that it has 21 vitamins, minerals and nutrients with no sugars that keep her energy levels balanced.  Rehydrate has a balanced level of carbohydrates, amino acids and a 1:1 ratio of potassium and sodium, two of the most vital electrolytes lost through sweat.  The calcium, magnesium and L-glutamine helps with cramping.

So where am I going with this?

We didn't realize it at the time but we now realize that we were given an opportunity to turn something that is part of our life into an opportunity for us to help others with their Plan B.
